Show Notes Transcript

What do you do when your best laid plans fall apart because of unforeseen challenges?

What do you do when you face a difficult situation that seems to stretch till there's no end in sight?

In this first episode of 2023,  I share 6 things I learnt from successful women and my recent challenges with Covid and other struggles,

At the end of this episode, you'll see how you can apply each of them to your unique situation when hard things happen, and you'll be reminded that hard times happen to all of us and we cannot be deterred from living a life of value.

In the past few months, I've also been working with an amazing group of women on a project, an anthology titled a letter to my
darling husband. It will be published sometime during this month.

There's so much happening and time isn't waiting for any of us, so I had to come out and share what I've learnt from the health and other challenges I've faced. Well, not just my learnings but also that of other women who had to keep going when hard happens.

Acknowledge and accept the situation: It's important to recognize that difficult situations happen to everyone at some point in life. Challenging situations are a part of life and everyone faces them at some point. Acknowledge what's happening, and don't try to avoid or deny it.

Take a break: Sometimes stepping back from a challenging situation and taking a break can help you gain clarity and perspective.Take some time to reflect on the situation and understand what's causing the difficulty.

Reach out for support: Talking to someone you trust, like a friend or family member, can help you feel better and find new ways to cope.

Practice self-care: Engaging in activities that make you feel good, such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies, can help you feel more balanced and resilient.

Focus on what you can control: While some situations may be beyond your control, focusing on what you can control, such as your reactions and responses, can help you feel more empowered.

Seek professional help: If you find it difficult to cope with a difficult situation

Remember that everyone faces hard times, and it's okay to ask for help. Focus on what you can control, take action, and be kind to yourself as you navigate through challenging situations.
